Reading Text: “People and Their Jobs”

Many people in my town have interesting jobs.
My aunt Lisa is an architect. She designs beautiful houses and buildings. She works in a big office with other architects and engineers.
My uncle Tom is a pilot. He flies airplanes and travels to many countries. He loves his job because he can see the world from the sky.
My best friend’s mother is a baker. She gets up very early every morning to make fresh bread, cakes, and cookies. The smell from her bakery is amazing!
My neighbor Mr. Brown is a mechanic. He repairs cars and motorcycles. He knows everything about engines.
I think all jobs are important. When I grow up, I want to be a journalist because I love writing stories and learning new things about people.
